Sharing Jesus Christ to An Unbelieving World

Over the past several weeks, I have been debating atheists, unbelievers in Jesus Christ, and even fellow believers at Topix.com/Christian forum.  Some of the subjects I dealt with were:

  1. Atheists are smart?  It started with a poll and I answered yes, they are.
  2. If you believe in Noah's Ark, you are a certified moron.  I guess I am a moron.
  3. The Trinity of God.   I believe in the Trinity of God.
  4. Prayer is Worthless and  I can prove it.  God answers prayer, He has worked miracles in my life.
  5. Jesus was a jerk
  6. Jesus never existed.
There are many more, but I did write posts on all of the above and on others not on the list above.  My one GOAL:  To share the good news of Jesus Christ to the unbeliever who is searching for God.

In doing so, I found out what being hated for ones faith is all about. I now fully understand what Jesus meant when He said:

The World Hates the Disciples

John 15: 18   18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

I was called every name in the book.  I was called a liar and I was sworn at. Some said the most horrific things about my Lord and God.  I can tell you for sure, it was a shock to my system and did not feel very good to be hated as I was by these people.  Just think...Jesus is still so very much hated today and there is such a strong animosity  towards Him by his enemies they display outrage when one attempts to give them some reasons to believe.

A Mild Case I would Like To Share

Here is my attempt to share my faith with an unbeliever.  I do not know how this will end up as yet.

(Unbeliever statements are in blue)

1st  and 2nd posts are from unbeliever who starts by saying I am dishonest.

Of course you're being dishonest, when you keep ignoring a simple question:

If your god is omniscient, then he has infinite insight and understanding. If that's true, then why didn't he immediately and unconditionally forgive Adam & Eve?

No, you are truly deceived, as you suspect, which is why you keep ignoring my question:

If your god is omniscient, then he has infinite insight and understanding. If that's true, then why didn't he immediately and unconditionally forgive Adam & Eve?

3rd Post is my response to unbeliever:

I am not God. I would only be giving you my opinion if I answered that question without going to scripture and studying it for a time.

Why not try asking God?

I know what I believe the reason for it is...but you want absolute truth from God...not me and my opinion who is merely a man.

Ask God!

God loves you and so do I!

If you want, I will go to scripture and pull out verses that best explains your question...but I doubt it would satisfy you.

Do you really want me to...or do you think you have stumped me? I assure you that is not the case.

I wrote a 39 chapter,490 page book named:

"I See Him...I See Him! God's Word to Witness By"

showing the evidence for Jesus using scripture from every book of the Bible.

I discuss creation, sin, death,Heaven, hell, redemption, grace, The Trinity, the great Bible stories in the Old Testament, the Seven Feasts of Israel and how they are a foreshadow of Jesus and world history and much, much, more.

You can learn about it and read new chapters I have written by going to:

God loves you and so do I!

4th  and 5th Posts are from unbeliever:  (please note: This person has been asking other Christians over and over again this same question...trying to trap them.  No answer has ever been good enough)

Since you believe in God, why don't YOU ask him, then get back with an answer?

You seem stumped so far...And your god can't give you an answer that will satisfy me? That doesn't say much for your all-knowing god...

That's nice, but it hardly answers my question:

If your god is omniscient, then he has infinite insight and understanding. If that's true, then why didn't he immediately and unconditionally forgive Adam & Eve?

I Decided To Answer The Unbeliever

I pray you see God's love for us in my answer to the unbeliever. I wrote:

My response:

God can...but I am a man. you are asking me, a human being who does not know everything to answer a question that will never satisfy you.
You are asking me to know God's mind and His plan.

Here is your answer from the Bible!

Genesis 2: 15-17 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

God gave Adam one commandment NOT TO BREAK and He did:

Genesis 3: 17 17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.

God hates sin, He is righteous and must punish sin. God warned Adam to break His command was DEATH. The punishment for sin because of God's righteousness has been carried out for all of Adams offspring because we are all sinners and in our sin, we cannot please God. We must be punished for our crime or God is not being a Holy judge.

I must backtrack a little so you can understand God's heart. HE NEVER WANTED MANKIND TO KNOW EVIL...evil was reserved for God only! It is clear from scripture God never intended us to know evil...ONLY GOOD!

Genesis 3: 22-23 22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.

I know you will not believe this what I am about to write, but the bible is revealing God as the Trinity in the above verse. The Hebrew word used for God is "Elohim". One of the ways it is translated is the plural form of a singular God (allowing for the Triune God). "El" or "Eloah" is the Hebrew word for the meaning of singular God.

we continue in scripture:

He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

Death and eternal punishment entered in from one man--Adam because of his disobedience.

THE GOOD NEWS IS GOD HAD A PLAN FOR REDEMPTION ALREADY IN PLACE!

This is clear from scripture and God made the very first prophecy ever spoken immediately after Adam sinned:

Genesis 3: 15 15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel."

God is telling Satan that He will send an offspring of the woman Eve (and not of Adam) that you will wound in battle (this happened when Jesus (God in the flesh) was crucified on the cross, BUT HE WILL DEFEAT YOU FOREVER....Jesus fulfilled this prophecy of God spoken 4,000 years ahead of time when Jesus arose from the grave! PRAISE GOD FOR DYING FOR MY SINS!

How do I know this was God's plan for man's redemption and salvation? FROM READING MORE SCRIPTURE...it is the only way to know God and to understand His will.

1 Peter 1: 19-21 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

Ephesians 1: 3-5 3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

I could write more, but this is your answer according to scripture through my ability to answer you. I am sure you will not like it.

God loves you and so do I!

I decide to Ask The Unbeliever A Question

The unbeliever wrote:
<quoted text>

I answered your question to the best of my ability...now why don't you answer me this:

Prove to me, without a shadow of a doubt, the God of the bible, DOES NOT EXIST AND NEVER DID.

Can you do this?

I am waiting for his reply.

How about you?  Are you prepared to answer  any question that an unbeliever might have?  To one that might hate you for only one reason....because you are a follower of Jesus Christ?

1 Peter 3: 15  15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect,

God loves you and so do I!

P.S. Here is the answer to my question I asked the unbeliever. I got this answer from listening to James Kennedy on radio.

It is humanly impossible to prove God DOES NOT EXIST!  In order to prove he does not exist, you would require the ability to be everywhere in the universe (even outside of the universe), see everything and see everywhere in the universe (even outside of the universe) ALL AT THE EXACT SAME TIME to make sure God isn't somewhere you are not looking.  You CANNOT prove God does not exist.

Is It worth it?

At times I got tired and felt like: "What is the use?"  "I cannot do this anymore."  "It is hopeless."  "I GIVE UP!"

Then God had a fellow believer at topix send me this post right when I was ready to throw in the towel and after many vicious attacks of me, but especially God.  She goes by the name Gabby-little-angel.

 Ken,

I want to thank you for your informative post. I am a big fan of AIG, and listen to their pod-casts almost daily. I was pretty sure that posting anything from their site in this forum would be much like casting pearls.

The word of God does not return void, but accomplishes what it was sent out to do. Rest assured that while your target audience has a heart of stone, that there are many others who have been reading, and will read, and glean much from what you have had to say.

We have spent a lot of time trying to figure out why people who are so filled with hate are spending so much time hanging out in the Christian forum. It is good that they are reading truth, that they are seeing that what we believe is the truth, and in the end, either it will crush the hardness of their hearts, or it will be the very thing that they will be held accountable for on the day of judgment.

The Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. Have a blessed 2009!

God is good, and He sent me a letter from Gabby-little-angel right when I needed it...to show me it is worth sharing my faith everywhere I go.

How about you?
