I pray you see God's love for us in my answer to the unbeliever. I wrote: The unbeliever wrote:
<quoted text>
You
seem stumped so far...And your god can't give you an answer that will
satisfy me? That doesn't say much for your all-knowing god...
<quoted text>
That's nice, but it hardly answers my question:
If
your god is omniscient, then he has infinite insight and understanding.
If that's true, then why didn't he immediately and unconditionally
forgive Adam & Eve?
My response:
God can...but I am a man.
you are asking me, a human being who does not know everything to answer
a question that will never satisfy you.
You are asking me to know God's mind and His plan.Here is your answer from the Bible!Genesis
2: 15-17 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden
to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man,
"You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not
eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat
of it you will surely die."
God gave Adam one commandment NOT TO BREAK and He did:Genesis
3: 17 17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate
from the tree about which I commanded you,'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.
God
hates sin, He is righteous and must punish sin. God warned Adam to
break His command was DEATH. The punishment for sin because of God's
righteousness has been carried out for all of Adams offspring because
we are all sinners and in our sin, we cannot please God. We must be
punished for our crime or God is not being a Holy judge.I must
backtrack a little so you can understand God's heart. HE NEVER WANTED
MANKIND TO KNOW EVIL...evil was reserved for God only! It is clear from
scripture God never intended us to know evil...ONLY GOOD!Genesis 3: 22-23 22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.
I know you will not believe this what I am about to write, but the
bible is revealing God as the Trinity in the above verse. The Hebrew
word used for God is "Elohim". One of the ways it is translated is the
plural form of a singular God (allowing for the Triune God). "El" or
"Eloah" is the Hebrew word for the meaning of singular God.we continue in scripture:He
must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree
of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him
from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
Death and eternal punishment entered in from one man--Adam because of his disobedience.THE GOOD NEWS IS GOD HAD A PLAN FOR REDEMPTION ALREADY IN PLACE! This is clear from scripture and God made the very first prophecy ever spoken immediately after Adam sinned:Genesis 3: 15 15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel."
God
is telling Satan that He will send an offspring of the woman Eve (and not
of Adam) that you will wound in battle (this happened when Jesus (God
in the flesh) was crucified on the cross, BUT HE WILL DEFEAT YOU
FOREVER....Jesus fulfilled this prophecy of God spoken 4,000 years
ahead of time when Jesus arose from the grave! PRAISE GOD FOR DYING FOR
MY SINS!How do I know this was God's plan for man's redemption
and salvation? FROM READING MORE SCRIPTURE...it is the only way to know
God and to understand His will.1 Peter 1: 19-21 19but with the
precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20He was
chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last
times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him
from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
Ephesians
1: 3-5 3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in
Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be
holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be
adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his
pleasure and will
I could write more, but this is your answer
according to scripture through my ability to answer you. I am sure you
will not like it.God loves you and so do I!
